ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT (ESA)

Environmental issues are major components of today's business transactions. Complex environmental regulations can impose significant liabilities on owners and operators of businesses, and on lenders, sellers, and purchasers of real estate. These liabilities can apply whether the party caused the problem or not, or regardless of current ownership of the property or business. L&A can provide high-quality analysis of the property, potential remedial alternatives, planning and staging of construction and remediation activities, and reduce the potential for construction and development delays.

The professional environmental assessors at L&A have extensive experience evaluating commercial, industrial, agricultural, and rural properties.

Lawrence & Associates has performed Phase I ESAs on large properties ranging from 100 to over 6,000 acres, and can tailor the ESA to meet the specific needs of our Clients. For example, for parcels undergoing evaluation for habitat restoration, we can provide a summary of pesticide use and/or storage, and potential impacts to surface water, groundwater, birds and other wildlife, and aquatic invertebrates. For property exchanges with federal or state government agencies, Lawrence & Associates can provide Phase I ESAs in formats compatible with government standards, and including land transaction process documents to satisfy government requirements.
